Punishe v8 p.1

Publicerad 2013-04-04 12:31:08 i Marvel,

(This is a review about Punisher v8 Issue #1-10)

Punshiser v.8 written by Greg Rucka with Marco Checcheto as artist is one of the few punisher I've ever bothered picking up. Not a big fan of insane slaughter and violence. But after having read "Frankencastle" I guess that every punisher would been great! This story kind of doesn't mention the things that happen on Monster Island (thank you) but you still got the "new launch" feeling, that you feel that you haven't missed anything :D!

Story really takes you down to earth and street level heroes as we know it. It is starting pretty early on that mankind can be raw, brutal and emotionless, telling a story of a female soldier who after retuning from service, loses everyone and everything in a massacre-which happens to be her wedding- and her story of revenge. When it is revealed to them that the both share a common course, with Franks equiment and experience togheter with her combat abillities making these to a lethal duo! In a later issue, it also turn out to be a classic street level team-up with punisher's longtime allies! It's a great mini crossover, you should definitily read it!

Captain Marvel v6

Publicerad 2013-04-03 18:43:36 i Marvel,

So, recently picked up Captain Marvel issue #1 (Carol Danvers).
Gotta say, not much of a fan of her new outfit myself, thinking it only keeps getting worse each time she get in o her wardrobe. Anyway, bonus point to the artist Dexter Soy, cause the drawing is beyond marvelous (ha!)! Not since I saw Adam Hughes Ive seen so much eyecandy! Okay, not that much but you get my point. Definitely one of my favourite drawnings

Might also be the shock from opening the book, I don't know.

Will let you know after I picked up a few more issues
Until then

Avengers Arena!

Publicerad 2013-03-28 10:40:40 i Marvel, NOW,

Currently following Marvel's own battle royale called: Avengers Arena.
This story is about the younger characters of the Marvel universe, such as Avengers/Braddoc academy, Darkhawk, Space Adventurist Cammi from the Annihilation storyline, Runawayes etc. etc.
Madman Arcade has trapped them in his infamous Murder World  for his own malevolent purpose.

Having read and seen the "Battle Royale" and "Hungergames", my first thought of this was " There is NO WAY Marvel would popping childrens head for a comic like this"

After the first issue, I stood corrected.
Would never dream of it, let alone live to see it ith my own eyes.
That was when I became hooked. Further in the story, alliances are made and broken, bicker among friends and so forth, and I'm actually really thrilled every month just so I can pick it up and see where this is going!
Are they really gonna let those kids kill each other permanetly?
Most likely not, but still, can't wait for the conclusion!
Unless you don't hear from me 'til monday, Happy easter! :D

About what Im reading!

Publicerad 2013-03-27 18:14:52 i Marvel,

Trying to stay updated, and thinking my blogg should be of the recent comic coming out, not about stories that came out 10 or so years ago, BUT I will still write about past comic books worthy of notice in my opinion, especially of storylines not getting the attention they deserve.

Marvel NOW! and thereafter is what I will be reading to keep my marveling updated.
If you have any suggestion on what I should read, post a comment!
Hope you'll enjoy my upcomming readings!

Captain Marvel

Publicerad 2012-11-18 10:52:12 i Marvel,

Captain Marvel. I need say no more. By far one of the greatest comic I've ever read. From v.1 to v.6 just piure magic.

The first captain Marvel (Mar-Vell v.1) is one of my favourite characters of all time. Epic space battles with Thanos, helping worlds. Pure awesome. Dramatic from start until to end! Definetly worth reading if you are into epic cosmic adventures. Might add that the first issues aren't that epic, not until he gets his power from Eon.

The second Captain Marvel (Monica Rimbaeu, one-shots), only existed in few one-shots and avengers adventure (such as secret war). Until she joined H.A.T.E. later on. I never really fell for this one, but I guess because she didn't have much related with Mar-Vell.

The third Captain Marvel (Genis-Vell), v2-4 has had the longest run as Captian Marvel. Being Mar-Vell's son, he constantly tries to live up to his fathers name. This comic isn't as grand and mighty as v.1 but still worth reading. The synergy Rick Jones and Genis-Vell has makes it great in my opinion. v.2 is kinda lame, v.3 is one of the greatest and most focused on laughter and comedy. V.4 is... not so much.

Altough one of the greatest version, this one is kinda tragic (I haven't read it complete yet), but Genis-Vell has (as his father) the power of "Cosmically Awereness" which makes him now.. well, everything! This can (and will) drive a man(kree) insane. Seing all outcome of all actions in all the worlds, wanting to help it but can't be everywhere makes him loose his mind, starting believing he is a god and starts acting like so.

The fourth Captain Marvel (Phylla-Vell) was only Captain Marvel for a shirt amount of time, then being Quasar for a time, and after calling herself  Martyr during Annihilation Conquest storyline(Great storyline).

The fifth Captain Marvel (*SPOILER*Khn'nr*SPOILER*, v.5) a sleeper agent super-skrull believing he is Captain Marvel reborn. A story full of tragedy, but one of my favorite storylines.

And now, the sixth and ongoing Captain Marvel (v.6) is the former Ms. Marvel. Haven't had the chance to start reading this one yet, but heard really great things about it. Can't wait to read it

Welcome!

Publicerad 2012-11-18 10:07:09 i Allmänt,

Hi and welcome to my brand new comics blogg. I probably should have done this a long time ago, since I've read alot of great and new comics, but I will try to remember them while writing.

What I'm mostly gonna do is talk about at least one comic each day, and different storyline. What I can do most of the time is that I buy whole comics storyline and read them, meaning that I can under a perio of time only be writing about that one. Since this might be tiresome I'm then gonn talk about great comic moment and Issues.

I'm mostly reading MARVEL comics, but I'm not ignorant (but I won't be reading much Batman)

Hope you*ll enjoy it!
